Well, the busses aren't coming. We've tried our hardest but we are moving on. Our next plan is to drive ourselves to Durango on Monday morning. We have tucked all of the students in and they are resting at the FB Campus (girls upstairs and guys downstairs). I have a few parents that have rushed to our aid and are "policing" the area to make sure that everyone rests and behaves. Meanwhile, those of us who are now driving to Colorado are rushing home to get rested up before the morning.
We have reserved six 15-passenger vans and 3 trailers. We will be picking them up at 9-10am. There will be 14 drivers and we will be rested and relaxed. Right now this seems very frustrating but by next week it will be an awesome sermon-illustration for all 3 youth ministers involved. I am prayerful that there is a bus company out there that has 2 busses that we could use in the morning.
If you would like to help, there are a few things you can do:
1. pray for our drivers and leaders--this is a curve ball (but we are gonna crush it!).
2. pray for a bus company to come through for us "in the clutch" with 2 busses ready to go in the morning.
3. contact Tim Scott about helping us with breakfast.
4. pray for the bus company that let us down..we are learning a lot about faithful forgiveness.
5. come up here and watch the kids sleep and keep them safe.
