We are leaving from the Vista Ridge Campus at 5:30p on Friday, October 19. We will be returning to the Vista Ridge Campus on Sunday, October 21 at noon.
The $100 you paid to register pays for everything: transportation, lodging, food, games, snacks, even a cool bsm sweater. We are staying at the Eisenhower State Park near Denison, TX and we will be outdoors most of the weekend. The weather will be pretty nice this weekend (highs of upper 70's and lows in the upper 50's). We will be sleeping on concrete floors in screened-wall shelters. Bringing an air-mattress or foam pad is a good idea. It will be cool at night so an extra blanket or two is recommended. Obviously boys and girls will be sleeping in separate shelters. Please bring your own Bible.
Pack clothes that you don't mind seeing dirty. We will not be doing any intentionally messy activities but these are middle school students and we will be outdoors...you can do the math.
Our schedule will be mixed up with plenty of games, team building exercises, free time, quiet time, prayers, worship, teaching, food, relaxing and conversation. This weekend is designed with two things in mind: knowing that God loves you incredibly and that you have friends in the bsm. Every camper needs a medical release form. Email or text Ryan to get one sent to you (it was attached to the last email he sent) As always, if you have any questions, please contact me at 214.724.9568 or rrainey@thebranch.org. |
